Thirkettle Prize


 

   

 

Our Group competition, using printed pictures, is held annually, involving both colour and monochrome images of a subject of the photographer’s choosing, taken within the past three years.

This is judged by an experienced judge from outside the Group, and the Thirkettle Cup is awarded to the winner.

 Thirkettle Competition 2019

    The Thirkettle  Cup was strongly contested and the large number of Highly Commended and Commended awards confirms the high quality of images submitted over the board.

Thirkettle Cup Rules

 

Agreed at the APG committee meeting on 29th March 2016.

 

Internal competition: APG members only.

 

Up to 3 mounted prints each.

 

Each print must show a title (which may be on the back).

 

The photographer’s name must not be shown.

 

Any Size.

 

Subject:  Open.

 

Colour or  B&W.

 

Prints must not have been entered for the Thirkettle Cup before.

 

The photograph must not be more than 3 years old.

 

The judge selects 1st prize (the cup winner) and also 2nd & 3rd places. 

 

Highly Commended and Commended are at the judge’s discretion.
